Resolution

Well, that argument got worked out just fine. I finally initiated the conversation. I told him I wanted to talk, and I cried, and he sat down and talked with me. We worked a lot of things out. It should be better from now on. I don't want to dwell on it, but I do want to say that after we talked I realized I've been repressing, and therefore not admitting to him, some things that I should have. I realize we were both at fault. I mean, I still don't think it was nice to ignore me for two days, but I understand now why he did and that I should have understood before.
On a brighter note, once that was all off my mind, I enjoyed the camping trip with dad very much. We found a ton of stuff. Dad found a Great White tooth that was massive. Unfortunately, it was broken, but still very cool. We both found a couple of dozen teeth- not nearly as many as we found at Purse State Park, but the average size was a lot bigger. We must have had at least five that were 2 inches high, and a lot of them are really beautiful colors.
Teeth generally fossilize white or grey, and more rarely brown or black, but exposure to various minerals during the process of fossilization can cause more interesting colors. Sometimes you get red, tan, and even deep purplish-bluish colors, like the sheen of an oil slick. Some of the ones we found had all of those colors. My favorite tooth of the day had funny splatter shaped spots all over it, in different shades of brown and tan. It's like a tooth covered with a cow hide.
Tomorrow, Philip is leaving for a trip. I'm going to drive him to the airport. (Well, actually, I'm going to drive him to the closest metro station and then we'll metro to the airport together. I didn't want to have to drive the route home from the airport by myself). At first I wanted him to take a cab, since he gets comped anyway, but he really wanted me to see him off. To be honest, I already wanted to see him off too, but to know it matters to him just gives me a gooey-sweet feeling and I want to kiss him goodbye at the airport even more.
