Valentine's Day

I will write something about my wedding, but I want to make it something nice, so I'm going to write it another time and then post it here.
My Valentine's Day was really good. It snowed a lot here, so Philip had a late start and liberal leave day. He called in and stayed home with me! It ruined some of my surprises, but that turned out ok.
My plan was to bake and decorate a cake for him, clean up the kitchen and dining room, and set out his presents around the cake on the dining room table. Then, in my plan (read fantasy) I would greet him at the door in a black teddy. Since he was home, I just gave him his candy first thing and he got to see me bake the cake. It was two layers of devil's food with a brownie layer between them, chocolate frosting inside and buttercream on the outside. I have to say it turned out pretty well (although I don't have a cake cover, so I had to stick it in the fridge, and that did make it dry out faster than it should have).
And I DID get to surprise him with the lingerie, just not quite the way I planned.
He took me to Target to pick out some chocolate. He'd planned to buy me some on his way home from work, but since he didn't go, he figured I could just decide exactly what I wanted. I got a heart shaped box of Russel Stover dark chocolates, because the box was sturdy and velveteen and I figured I'd be able to save it too keep pictures or something in. He also picked something else up at the store, but he wouldn't show me what it was.
When we got hom he pulled it out, and it was the Firefly dvd. I was excited to see it, so he sent me into the bedroom to set up a laptop. When he came in the laptop was set up, but I also had on the teddy.
So, there was... an interlude.
And then we watched Firefly, which was really great.
We had lunch (I had breakfast) at IHOP, and then I got dressed up (in an actual dress!) to have dinner at this Mexican place. When we got home we snuggled and talked and it was all really romantic.
Anyway, I know that was like five days ago, but I wanted to write about it.
